Home Inspections

What they are and what to expect

A home inspection is an unbiased, professional assessment of the condition of a house. It provides you with an opportunity to learn about the condition of the numerous systems that make up a house. If you're not familiar with a particular system or item you'll have the opportunity to learn about it so you can properly use and maintain it. This is why we strongly encourage you to accompany the inspector during the inspection. This will give you a chance to ask questions and become familiar with the systems of the home.

The inspection process typically takes 2 to 3 hours to complete. After which a report will be created based on the findings during the inspection. We usually email the report to you and any other parties that you specify the following day. If you don't have an email account, we can print the report and mail it to you.

Items that will be included in the inspection are:

  1. Structure
  2. Roof
  3. Exterior
  4. Interior rooms
  5. Doors & windows
  6. Electrical system
  7. Plumbing system
  8. Heating
  9. Central A/C
  10. Kitchen
  11. Bathrooms
  12. Attic
  13. Basement
  14. Crawlspace
  15. Deck

Our goal is to discover and inform you of anything we find that might affect your purchase decision. We'll tell you about any problems we find. We'll also suggest maintenance tasks to keep the home and its systems in top condition.
